Introducing the 3rd annual Concert in Lagos, Orin Tuntun, meaning "new songs," Àkójopò is thrilled to present an event that will captivate audiences this summer. Expanding our horizons and building on the success of previous editions, we have launched the African Art Music Commissioning Project (AAMCP) in collaboration with renowned experts such as Drs. Charles Lwanga, Ayo Oluranti, and Branco Sekalegga––with generous funding from Dr. D.K. Olukoya. This year's concert promises to be more grandiose. We have commissioned esteemed composers from Brazil, Ghana, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland, and the United States, thereby fostering a truly global presence and expanding the reach of African Art Music practitioners.
